Hebron is a Palestinian city located near Jerusalem.
The name Hebron has a few origins. Firstly, it derives from the Hebrew word "haber" meaning friend, and secondly from the Arabic "haber" meaning granary. In Arabic, it is known as al-Khalil, which means "The House Of The Beloved" and refers to Abraham.

HebronSoft aims to help orphans and other underprivileged youth in Ukraine. Hebron IT Academy students receive modern education in software engineering and also full board, psychological, spiritual, and medical support.
With the help of HebronSoft, Hebron students have a place for the internship, mentoring in a profession, fostering a better education program and a real understanding of software company functioning, and permanent employment.
As a social company, HebronSoft gives hiring preference to employees from socially disadvantaged backgrounds for 10-50% of the active workforce. Generated profits are directed to social needs, not to shareholder dividends.
HebronSoft was founded in 2017 by native Ukrainians, the Silicon Valley professionals, Ihor Bula, and Liliya Valihun, in cooperation with Kostya Kulyk.
